Barista Training Workshops
If you love coffee and want to learn the practical art and science of all about making specialty coffee, our workshop assures you all of that plus conferring high standards and with references from the Italian, American and Australian coffee world. Since its launch in Nov 2004, our workshop has trained many hundreds if not thousands of participants.

This comprehensive hands-on programme consist 2 sessions workshop (2 professional levels) and is highly beneficial for those who are:

Planning to start your own café in the future and serve espresso beverages   
2.
Currently working as a Barista but keen to master the correct techniques of making that perfect cup       
3.
Coffee lovers who owns espresso machines at home and wish to learn effective barista techniques
Comprising of level I and level II, the first level is ideal for the cafe operator and home barista . Level II is optional if you are truly serious and wish to be coached and evaluated one-on-one on making espressos drinks and advanced latte art. You will be also be taught on advanced grinder techniques and practical coffee tasting. The objective of this 4 hours is to
train your staff hands-on the correct principles of making excellent espresso beverages from the American, Italian and Australian perspectives. We assure you of the high standards we set for this training with strong
reference from countries where gourmet coffee is highly popular and in demand.Level III is desirable if wish to consider a career or work in partnership with us or simply just want to be recognised as an associate of the Highlander Coffee brand.
Besides Singapore, we also conduct training in KUALA LUMPUR once a month. You have to sign up for Pro Level I and II if you wish to attend our sessions in Kuala Lumpur. Read on...

Highlander Coffee Barista Accreditation (Pro Level III)

There is no lack of barista competitions, bright and certified judges, “sanctioned bodies”  in the coffee world. (READ; in our opinion, an excellent article on “What’s Wrong with the WBC”). Competition is definitely a good thing created to raise the standard of professional coffee making in the world. It should however, not just be another means to an end (“...to compete for the riches”). What is scarce sadly are individuals really committed to making and serving a good cup coffee consistently to customers. It is rare to find folks that possess that true passion for coffee.

You must believe what we stand for and have the sincere desire to work with us or be our partner when the opportunity arises. You should have completed our Pro Level I & II workshops and have undergone a face-to-face interview with us before we decide if you got what it takes to succeed. Advanced Espresso Workshop and Latte Art  (Pro Level II)

This Advanced Espresso Course is a continuation from level I and can be completed on the same day. This course focuses on achieving effective grinding, tamping and dosing skills for great extractions, mastering milk texturing, advanced latte art, coffee cupping (tasting) and greater details on espresso machine maintenance.
